Dictionaries / Online Translators

• bab.la (English–Arabic). Translates Arabic words, phrases and texts into their English counterpart and vice versa.
• Cambridge Dictionary (English–Arabic). Translates English vocabulary, idioms and sentences into their Arabic equivalent (but not from Arabic to English).
• English to Arabic Translation Tool. Helps translate English texts of up to 500 characters per request into their Arabic counterpart, and vice versa.
• Glosbe (English–Arabic). A community-built dictionary which translates vocabulary and phrases between English and Arabic with bilingual example sentences.
• Lingea. Provides English translation of Arabic words and phrases and vice versa.
• Lingvanex (English–Arabic). Enables instant translation between English and Arabic texts for free.
• Reverso Dictionary (English–Arabic). Also useful for translating words and phrases between English and Arabic.
• typingbaba. Offers free and quick translation of English texts of up to 2,000 characters per request into their Arabic equivalent, and vice versa.

Administrative Translation

• Glossary of Social Security Terms (Arabic). Compiled by U.S. Social Security Administration, it contains English and Arabic terminology related to social security administration.

Legal Translation

• Comprehensive legal dictionary (by The University of Jordan). Lists legal terms in Arabic and English.
• Dictionary of Legislative Terms English – Arabic (by United States Agency for International Development, 2011). Provides selected terms used in legislative work, and the meaning of those terms in the context of Arab parliamentary work.
• English/Arabic Legal Glossary (by Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento, 2005). Collects bilingual legal glossary, with bilingual explanations.
• Glossary of Legal Terminology English – Arabic (by Wisconsin Courts). Contains Arabic-English legal terminology, with explanations.
• Glossary of legal terms – Multilingual Glossary in 13 languages (by VITS LanguageLink, 2004). Gives translation of common legal terminology in 13 languages, including Arabic.
• Glossary of Legal Terms English/Arabic (by Kent State University). Defines selected legal terms in English and translates them in Arabic.
• The Abridged Law Dictionary – English Arabic (by Asser M. Harb). Useful for finding Arabic translation of English legal terminology.

Medical Translation

• Altibbi. An online monolingual medical dictionary that provides Arabic definitions for medical terms.
• HTH Worldwide Arabic Medical Translation Guide – Common Medical Terms sorted by Arabic. Created by Highway to Health, Inc. in 2002, it lists around 650 medical terms as well as their common expressions in both Arabic and English.
• Medical Terminology – Arabic. Gives a brief Arabic-English list of commonly used medical terms.
• Unified Medical Dictionary. Contains more than 200,000 English–Arabic entries, many of which are also available in French, Spanish and German. It allows one to search the most up-to-date medical terminology covering all aspects of medical sciences.
