What is Community Translation?
Community translation refers to written language services that bridge the communication gap between public services and readers of non-mainstream languages, facilitate information flow between mainstream/established community members and less powerful, minority or newcomer members; and provide opportunities for the latter to improve their socio-economic position and participate more effectively in their (new) community.
